day one

I haven't heard from Kevin, which is not at all surprising, but I assume no news is good news.

Day one was long. No church because it's pointless by myself with two kids...have to feed one and also sit in Sunday School with the other. I have been by myself with the kids before for a couple days, but I think it seemed long because I know that it was only the first day and I still have an entire week in front of me. I am thankful that the day feeling so long wasn't due to poor behavior on Seth's part, though, so I can't complain.

We got a hail storm in the middle of the day. It seemed to come out of no where. We have been having the weirdest weather lately.

Seth wanted to "read" to Kate. It was adorable. :)

Kate does enjoy getting to look at the book by herself though too.

We got m&m's in the package this week. They do sell them here, but American m&m's taste better. I'm not kidding. The chocolate is a bit different, the colors are different, and the shape and texture of the shell are slightly different here. Make fun of me all you want. I am very serious when it comes to chocolate. :) Kevin even made me do a blind taste test because he said that I was ridiculous, and I could tell the difference with no problem.

I came around the corner into the kitchen after changing Kate's diaper and found Seth sitting there. "I'm not eating them, Mom! I'm just lookin'!"

Seth patiently waited until after lunch when I told him he could have a few. He asked if he could eat the whole bag, and when I told him he couldn't because he would be sick, he accepted it and happily ate the ones I gave him without having a meltdown. Yeah!

The kids are so sweet! I love Kate's outfit, too. Can't wait to come chat with you and play with the little ones (though I am absolute rubbish at wrestling.) :)

Come on Audrey - after the riot of 2008 wrestling should be a piece of cake! At least you don't have to hide in the trunk of a car!
