nine pounds

Tonight we were taken out to dinner by Mike and Eileen Palsgrove. They are in Budapest for Reach Global's Hungary Summit. It is a conference with the Evangelical Free Church mission. (The church I grew up in and currently supports us is an E Free Church, so I know them from home!) They have been here many times, and they have made sure to see us since we've been living here. I was so touched by them. She had written me ahead of time and asked if I wanted any chocolate chips, which I of course replied that I would accept any such gift she was offering. :)

And they did not just bring a bag of chocolate chips. They brought me 9 POUNDS!!! I was so excited. I have plans to bake tomorrow!

So, Mr. and Mrs. Palsgrove, thank you for taking us out to eat, bringing a few things for us from my parents, and for all of the wonderful chocolate chips. We were so touched by your thoughtfulness and generosity. We enjoyed spending time with you and were grateful for your willingness to be flexible and coming out here to eat. I thoroughly enjoyed chit chatting, not a surprise to anyone who knows me. :) (And we were so glad our kids behaved as well!) Thank you!

The title has it right in my opinion. Best chocolate chip cookies I've ever made. :) In case you wanted a good use for those chips...
