yummy dinner

We had our staff Christmas dinner tonight at the Trófea Grill in Budapest. We had such a great time! There were about 90 staff members (and spouses) there, which is really a lot of people for a relatively small school. We had lots of laughs and a nice time chatting with such wonderful people. Ah, so fun!

Last year we had our staff dinner there as well. It was on December 6th, which is Szent Miklós Nap (St. Nicholas Day), and it was super crowded due to the holiday. It was nice not to have to wait in line for 25 minutes for them to cook your meat tonight. You see, you pick out the meat and anything else raw that you want grilled, and then they grill is right there for you. Then there are hundreds of other hot and cold dishes to eat as well. Anyway, it was much faster this evening.

Also last year, my parents flew in for their first visit to meet Seth on that day. They were seriously jet lagging and meeting people left and right. Seth was only 10 days old, and everyone was eager to see and hold him. I had four people come up to me tonight and tell me that they remember last year and Seth being a newborn and my parents just coming. It was sweet that people remembered. Of course I did but never thought anyone else would. This year we had a sitter and left Seth at home. :)

Today was the last day of school for this first semester. Hard to believe! Kevin is super excited for break. We are too!

I think I was a zombie most of the night until we got in the car to drive back home. I don't remember much about that trip after the dinner! Love, Dad

How long of a break does Kevin have? You both must be excited to have him home!

I'm glad you got some time out. I know Josh and I enjoy our Madi free times as it is a great way for us to reconnect.
