perspective and provision

It's all about perspective...

Nothing we have goes with us when we die. None of this "stuff" matters. God continually reminds me how he has provided for us time and time again. I can think of numerous situations that are far worse. Again, God provides for us what we need. He has gone before us.

I seriously have the best family in the world. My parents spend lots of time praying for us, supporting us, and loving us, much more than I could ask for. Kevin's parents do the same. My sister called me yesterday just to pray with me over the phone. Seriously, how did I get so lucky?

(I just said "seriously" too much!)

Both my mom and my dad emailed me things that they read from their devotions yesterday and today that spoke directly to them and then to us. Here is a little blurp from Ann Spangler's book Praying the Names of God that my mom emailed to me this morning...

"The Lord Will Provide"

"Since God sees the future as well as the past and the present, He is able to anticipate and provide for what is needed. Interestingly the English word 'provision' is made up of two Latin words that mean 'to see beforehand.' When you pray to Yahweh Yireh, you are praying to the God who sees the situation beforehand and is able to provide for your needs."

We are grateful for so many prayers. God gives us his peace and his strength. God will provide!
