szentendre

We had a busy day. We took the HÉV from Budapest to Szentendre and walked around there for several hours. We shopped and enjoyed this little town filled with lots of typical and traditional Hungarian items. Although there are tons of tablecloths and runners around here and everywhere, I did find a beautiful runner that I was able to buy with birthday money, which isn't for another two weeks or so. Yeah!

We then took a boat ride down the Danube River from Szentendre to Budapest. (Julie, it cost 1500 ft per person.) There was a pretty nice breeze going down, which we appreciated because it was quite warm in the sun. There wasn't too much to see until we got to Budapest, but it gave us great views of everything on the river from Parliament to the Castle. It was relaxing and just a nice view.

Seth was an amazing kid the whole time. He pretty much sat in his stroller and didn't make any fuss. He charmed some ladies at the store and tried sherbet for the first time. He loved that! We couldn't have asked for a better kid. And Kevin says it's all due to our parenting style. :) Ha!

What a nice picture of your parents! Glad you guys had a fun day with them - and it's no surprise at all that Seth was so well-behaved. He's such a sweetie!! :)

I am always soo amazed at what Seth allows you to do! I am in awe of him! Madi never sits in her stroller for longer than 10 minutes (and that's if we are moving). She also no longer will sit in a shopping cart for longer than 15 to 20 minutes, but would rather be the one pushing the cart while I hold her. But Seth gives me hope that maybe our next child will be a little more laid back. I'm glad you were able to see so much!

It looks like you had a great time in Szentendre! Good photos, too, as usual. I don't think I told you that Echo and her husband Wong kidnapped me after church on Sunday! We went to Visegrad, Esztergom AND Szentendre in their car. They are so kind. Have a wonderful day, my dear!

that is fun, thanks for sharing how much it costs. I will have to do it sometime. I saw you first mention the HEV and I thought "oh they didn't take the boat down...." but you did. Glad Seth is being so good for you all on the trip. Jasper is at the stage he wants to move everywhere and he does. It is annoying. but soon he will walk and stop putting everything into his mouth!
