mr. yaiko

"Would now be a good time to tell Mr. Yaiko that the sixth grade girls have a crush on him?"

Ah, I know Kevin will read this and ask why I wrote that, but I just got such a kick out of that when I was told that.

"Can Mr. Yaiko be principal next year?"

Our dearly loved principal is also going back to the US after being here with his family for 8 years. I know we all will miss them! When that was announced to students today, apparently some students suggested that Kevin take over. HA!

"The sun rises and sets on Mr. Yaiko."

A mom told me this. She said that her son will listen to anything he says, so she might come to Kevin if she needs her son to listen to something she wants him to do.

I have many more comments I could write that I hear about Kevin from students, parents, teachers, and friends. For some reason or another, the kids just seem to like him. (Just kidding...I know why!) These sorts of things are further confirmation that this is where God wants us right now. I wasn't doubting, but I love to hear that God is working in and through Kevin. "Missionaries" are more than just church planters, right Audrey?! :)

You said it, sister! How great it is to see God use you and Kevin in this special community.

We hold this treasure in jars of clay, after all...Kevin...yeah.
