Monday

Today was a gorgeous Monday. The sun was shining and there was hardly a cloud in the sky. The temperature was in the low 50's! I can't remember the last day when the sun was shining as it was today. Seth and I took a walk to the grocery store to pick up a few items, and it was wonderful. This was our first trip out in the stroller with the weather having been so incredibly yucky as of late. We got stopped by all sorts of other people out and about on walks. One lady asked how old he was (I have no idea how to say it, but I recognized the phrase as being that). I said, "Nyolc...uh...nem tu dom." ("Eight...uh...I don't know.") I couldn't remember the word for "weeks," only "day of the week." But this sweet old lady was able to figure out (I assume) that he was 8 weeks old and not 8 months or 8 years old. :) Yes, he is exactly 8 weeks old today.

We also went to Kevin's basketball game this afternoon. I didn't hold Seth at all. The high school girls took turns passing him around for about 2 hours. One of the girls only reluctantly gave him back because her mom told her they had to go home. I'm glad he's such a relaxed baby, or has been so far!

And I know I have been blogging like crazy. I process things and think about things day in and day out, and much of that is external. I think Seth gets tired of hearing me talk to him all day, so blogging allows me to get some of those thoughts out. You'll be glad to know that I write only the tiniest fraction of things that come to mind.

I am prepared for some sarcastic comment from Stef or Kevin now.

Kristen, I love reading your thoughts! I feel like I blog too often, but I love what your days are like. Keep writing! :)

Glad you had such gorgeous weather today! I enjoy hearing about your daily life. I'm a total external/verbal processor too and blogging really helps me with that - no worries about how often you write. I write a lot too - i just looked back at how many posts I've written in my blog and there's almost 1,000!

Poor Seth, I would get tired of listening to you talk all day too.

I was thinking about what you said, being that you process things...blah blah. You know, I do too...I usually have something to say about everything. However, there is a difference between you and I. I could talk on and on about relationships and analying things (you do the same) but you could talk on and on about anything. For instance, you could probably write a whole paragraph about the color of your shirt, I, however could not.

Hey, remember, sarcasm is my love language!

Thanks Kristin and Rachael. I know you girls understand. I am such an external/verbal processor, so this is much needed in my life.

And Stef, I was expecting nothing less from you! I know you love me.

The way I figure it, I am not forcing anyone to read this, so I can write, right?!

No comment yet from Kevin...

Hey, let Kevin say what he will. Power to the external processors! Thanks for sharing your days, lessons in faith, and musings with us. We benefit from you! Love ya.

I get a kick out of reading your blogs - even though we talked earlier in the day! Keep writing - it brings a smile to my face. But we need more pictures of Seth! Love, Dad

Kevin, don't let her down!

Nice typo Stef in "analying". It's a good thing you remembered the "y" though otherwise you would be analing things.

Haha...thanks Kevin. I guess I need to proof read better. I accidentally left out the "r" in shirt. Which meant Kristen would have been analyzing the color of her...well you know.

Just got an email from Kelly. She reads your blog every day and says it gives her the feeling she is having adult conversation to break up the long days with just Madi, so keep blogging on! (No smart cracks about your cousin, Kevin!)
