burdened

I know I haven't blogged about my trip yet. There is a reason: my heart has been heavily burdened for fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who have been met with difficult circumstances this week.

In the past week, I have learned about someone back home who was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. Someone else lost their precious unborn child. Someone else lost their six year old nephew in a freak accident in a tree house. Someone else is on bedrest as a matter of life and death for their unborn child. Someone else lost their brother in an accident as well.

So much heartache. And these are just the people that I know personally, not including the millions of people suffering from catastrophe in Japan, Libya, and other parts of the world.

I haven't felt like blogging or anything like that. I find myself in tears throughout the day as I think and pray for these people. But I serve the God who is bigger than all of this and who will one day bring healing and restoration to this sinful world. In him I find my rest and trust that he will give these people the strength and peace they need as well.
