grateful for a new week

Remember when I used to blog 5 times a week or so? Wow. That was a long time ago. I'm happy if I blog once a week now. I keep thinking that now that the kids are in bed before me that I will do it. But I am not finding the time...or making the time. Either way, I hope to get back into the routine again.

Last week was a week from you know where. It was awful. Two sick kids. Two sick parents. Not the makings of a good week. I am grateful to the Lord that Kate was not too sick. I just felt so bad for her little cough due to her congestion. Seth, on the other hand, was just awful. He was sick and behaving terribly. I had no patience or energy to deal with it. I was ready to throw in the towel on being a mother. I just wanted to crawl into bed and not be bothered by anyone. I kept wishing I was back home. It seemed forever long. I don't even remember Kevin taking this picture. I am glad to know that I did get to snooze at some point in time. I don't remember doing that. It looks like I'm hugging Seth, so that's a good sign too, since I don't remember feeling like doing that much either!

So grateful for a new week and healing from illness. Won't be heaven wonderful when we don't have illness anymore? I often think of loved ones who are there and no longer have the pain of this world. And every time I am sick, I am reminded of Ryan and his constant battle with Cystic Fibrosis here on earth. He never complained, and his best day was worse than my worst day. His birthday was last week, and he would've celebrated his 29th. Thought lots about him and prayed for his family a lot. I read a story of his that he wrote in elementary school. It was a gift to me from his mom that she sent over with my parents when they came to visit in November. She knew I would love and appreciate it. I laughed and cried reading it. Ah, such good memories!

I am going to bed now. BOTH kids were awake at 6:30 this morning. I realize that is not early for many of you, but that's a good hour or so earlier than normal. Wouldn't have been bad had I been well rested, but well, after last week... Jó északát!

He never did complain that's for sure.

Glad you are feeling better!

Glad you all are feeling better. I hope the weather is getting warmer for you too. There's nothing like opening up the windows to let the warmer Spring air fill the house after everyone's been sick.

Love ya,
Jenny
