i am looking forward to going to bed

Finished day one of being mom to six kids (one of them being my own). Insanity.

I enjoy all the kids very much. We wouldn't have done this if we didn't love the kids. But I'm going nuts trying to coordinate who has to be where and when, especially when the kids themselves have no idea. Then plans and schedules overlap or happen at the same time or interfere with the next thing. Then the other part is having my own kid who has needs himself, even though he is the most relaxed little guy ever. I am trying to figure out how Saturday will work since I am helping throw a baby shower in the afternoon and will be tied up there for a few hours. Part of the "stress" of it is that nothing was on the calendar a week ago, so it was supposed to be relatively easy. Now, EVERYONE has something going on (or multiple things), including Kevin being away for the weekend in Vienna for basketball. So I will have no help. I am relying on other parents to help drive. I don't think that'll be a problem. Everyone is always helpful around here.
