a little catch up

Obviously haven't been around much to blog. Kevin's parents flew back to the US, and now we are currently staying with a family while their parents are gone for the next few days. Craziness. Seth is peacefully sleeping in his new room for the next few days, and I just spoke to the Hungarian woman who came over to do some stuff around the house. Wow. Language barrier. I can understand words, not entire sentences that require verb conjugations. We'll see how this goes! But she is a sweet lady who I think is going to make me some food. Again, language barrier. I have to guess what she's trying to tell me around all the words that I do actually understand. :) She did ask me why I wasn't wearing any shoes on my feet. Just wait till she sees Seth running around barefoot. It's really for his own safety because he slips and falls. I am preparing to get a lecture about it though. It's a cultural thing.

I have more pictures and perhaps even a video to post from the last few days. I will do that once we're back home because all of that is on the laptop, and I am on this family's computer right now.

A very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sister Stefanie. Wish we were there to celebrate with you!!! Miss you and love you LOTS!!!

And happy voting to the rest of you. The family we're staying with has cable, and I turned on CNN this morning to hear (in English) what was going on in the world. Nearly every station was talking about the election in the US today. Seriously, even every Hungarian news station and both a French one and a German one, too. Of course I didn't understand most of what they said, but it is interesting that the rest of the world is talking about it all day. So go get out there and vote! The world anxiously awaits...
