We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year with the Lang and Custer families. The food was delicious, and we had a lot of fun playing games until super late. I ate more at this Thanksgiving than I think I have at any other one. So yummy!
I had my 39 week check-up at the doctor on Friday. We got to the doctor without getting lost in the car this time! We got another ultrasound, which doesn't happen in the States this late unless there is some medical reason. It's amazing to look back and see how the baby could fit on the entire screen the first ultrasound, and now only a ligament or something will fit. He measured the baby's head and all of that. He said that things were moving along as they should be. Anytime now... :)
We FINALLY went shopping after my appointment on Friday to get many needed things. We have been dying to go, and now that we have access to a car, we can go shopping when we want and take as long or as short as we want. It was wonderful. We figured out our way pretty well until we went to go home. Yep, we got lost again on the way home. But we made it back, which is most important, right?! The roads are so confusing. You can't just backtrack the way you came. There are too many one ways and not enough left turns.
Today we drove to church, too! We didn't get lost at all, but that was because we followed someone so that we could learn our way. Nusi met us for church! We had a nice afternoon together, too. We brought her back to our house to show her around, and then we headed back into the city for lunch/dinner. We found our way there and back as well without getting lost. We are improving!
Now Kevin is playing basketball, and I am kicking back because I don't have to get up early tomorrow! I plan on getting some other last minute shopping done this week. People told me not to go too far since I could go at any time. I tell them that I don't know how to drive to too many places, so they needn't worry!
