all done

All done! So today was my last day teaching. Don't know if this is just for a time period in my life or if this is my last day teaching ever, as I would really like to pursue a different role in the school setting one day. Everyone keeps asking how I'm doing and how it feels to be done. I don't think it really has sunk in. When will it? Maybe when I'm at home all day by myself with a baby... But I honestly think I will be trying to find ways to stay involved in school and other activities because, being the strong "E" that I am in the personality profiles, I crave human contact. And as my principal was sharing with me today, it's weird to step outside of school right now because it's the only thing I've really known since I was 5 years old! Hard to believe that I have been going to school in one form or another for over 20 years. I think my head doesn't know what to do without having to do something related to school all the time -- to grade, to plan, to sit in meetings, to talk to parents, to work on curriculum, to be on committees, just to always be working on making things better.

The staff at school is throwing me a baby shower on Monday, and I am looking forward to that. I greatly appreciate them wanting to do that. I plan on going shopping for groceries and other baby necessities next week as well. We still are waiting on paper work to go through before we can get our crate that contains anything and everything we have for baby. But at least we have a car from today until just after New Year's!!! I have this whole new-found sense of freedom, although I am not sure how to get to too many places by myself in a car. It does help since we ride public a lot, but I will be learning my way using the signs in Hungarian. Should be an adventure!

And we will be celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow with some families from school. We are looking forward to that time as well, as we feel so completely blessed and grateful for all that God has done for us, especially in recent months with all of the transitions and adjustments we have been going through. To him be all glory, honor, and praise!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving (one day early)!! Hope you guys have a great time with the families. We're leaving for Jamestown at 12:30 this afternoon, so I've only got about an hour of work left to go! And congratulations on finishing up at school. It must be exciting, yet strange at the same time. We hope you can enjoy these last few days preparing for Baby Yaiko to come! We went to echo your thankfulness to God for how He has provided - for us and for you guys. He IS so faithful!! Lots of love! ~Aimee & Shane

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope that you are able to relax and enjoy a little time to yourself before Baby Yaiko comes. I do understand your desire to stay involved in the school and I hope that you are able to find ways to do that with "the baby" in tow. :)
