empty school

So Kevin is gone on the high school retreat with all of the high schoolers. The middle school is gone on their service project as well, so it was just the elementary and 6th grade here at school today. It was oddly quiet and so strange not to have all of those kids around. Dismissal after school was a breeze with hardly anyone there!

There are some people in the high school, though, who have other responsibilities at the elementary level and forgot to get someone to cover those responsibilities. We realized it and all pitched in to cover those things, which was not a huge deal or anything. It just is odd to me that some people don't think through those things or bother to let the people whom they are affecting know. I am the type who thinks through those things and is a total planner. Again, not a big deal, just an inconvenience. Oh well.

Whittington's roommates are also gone on the retreat, so she is going to teach me how to make barbeque chicken pizza tonight at her place. I am really looking forward to it. I'm sure that we will have many conversations revolving around "The Office." :)
