day in the city

We took Kevin's parents downtown Budapest today. We took public downtown and then walked all over the city, starting on Váci and walking to the Vásárcsarnok (Covered Market), then to lunch at the Soul Cafe on Ráday Utca, then along the Danube River and over it on the Chain Bridge. We then walked up to see Buda Castle, walked through the castle district, and visited St. Matthias. We walked down from Castle Hill to Moskva Tér and Mammut, the mall that has my favorite store called Boszorkánykonyha (I can never remember how to pronounce it because it's so long, but I looked it up!). We ran into the McLemore's, which is so funny in such a large city. It was a fantastic day!

Shopping inside the market...

Lunch at Soul Cafe included cold raspberry fruit soup with a scoop of lemon sorbet. YUM! (This picture is for Dan!!!)

Family picture reading World magazine at Buda Castle. Every issue they publish a picture of someone reading the magazine some place in the world. Kevin's mom wants to get our picture in there reading it in Hungary. And if you can't tell by the expression on Seth's face, he was REALLY excited to look at the magazine.
