will you be my friend?

I have read several blogs in recent weeks where people talked about how they "succumbed" to Facebook. It's funny because most people I know who are around my age feel the same way, like it was the thing that college kids do and since we're not college kids, we don't do that sort of thing. Yes, I joined a few months ago myself and have had so much fun catching up with old friends and staying connected to current friends.

We had a conversation with someone this summer about his philosophy on choosing to accept a friend request and how he feels he should use Facebook. Everything he said made total sense. It really did. I just never spent that much time thinking about it. Surprise for me because I spend way too much time thinking about most things.

Friendship is an important part of life. Being here in Hungary adds a whole new facet to the area of friendship. It's hard to explain. It can sometimes be a sort of "forced intimacy," as a wise friend once said to me. Don't get me wrong... it's good... just different.

Here is a picture of my littlest "friend" with whom I hang out all day. He does have the most beautiful, long eyelashes. So in love!

And I am insanely jealous of all of you who get to watch the season premiere of "The Office" tonight. No spoiling it for me. I'll get to it one of these days!

I will only say that "The Office" premiere was very good! I won't say anything else to spoil it, but watch it soon!
