boldog házassági evfordulót!

Happy Anniversary!

Today is our fourth anniversary. My, how time does fly! Now I know it's not like we've been married for an eternity or anything, but it has gone by fast. We've had so much change in these four years, too. We've lived in four different places (with a short stint in a fifth place for one summer), had about a dozen jobs between the two of us, and have had a baby. The list of changes we've had is much longer, but those are the major ones. I never expected to be in Hungary with a baby when we were wed four years ago today.

I loved our wedding though. It was like a winter wonderland with white twig trees and lights. We got married in the morning and had breakfast for our reception. (By the way, I found a recipe to make homemade ground sausage, and I am going to try to do that this next week!) We had snowflake ornaments for our guests and snowflake cookies. The country club even had a fireplace that warmed up the whole room. We were surrounded by our family and friends. What a wonderful day it was!

We aren't going out to celebrate tonight or anything. Kevin really wants to go downtown for dinner, but it's just too hard with a baby now and no car. We might go out in the next few weeks and have Aunt Whittington or someone babysit for a few hours. (If you are reading this Whittington, you should be very excited!) Just about everyone we know has offered to watch him whenever, even over night. The head teacher at the high school said she'd watch him during the day, even during class. She said that she can teach and hold him at the same time. Can you imagine living in a better place at this point in our lives? What a blessing it is to live so close to the school where I can go to school or Kevin can come home whenever. Although we have no family here (we didn't have any close by when we were in Columbus either), we are blessed to have so many new friends to love us and help us.

Well, I'd post a wedding picture to reflect on the day, but those were saved on our desktop computer at home. I think there is a cd somewhere in our stuff with pictures, but I have no idea where that is. Maybe I'll go look for that...

Wow...It is hard to believe that it has been 4 years! I makes me sad that for those 4 years we have lived in different places. Gone are the days of you and I spending our afternoons lounging in the pool. :) I hope that you and Keving had a great anniversary together.

Rachael and Kristin, you both are coming up on 5 years this summer, right?

And Kristin, I do miss those days of lounging in the pool with you and chatting. Maybe some day we will leave close to each other. Just not looking likely in the very near future...
